Introduction
In an ever-increasing world of tension and instability, the US Government has
expanded its role in establishing societal stability through democratic style
of governance. In addition to the fundamental aspects of nation building,
personal protective services are a critical element in the peace process. In
connection with the Federal Government�s mandate to outsource more service
solutions, the Department of State has contracted with DynCorp International to
provide Personal Protective Specialists for assignment overseas. Employment as
a Personal Protective Specialist offers exciting opportunity in a challenging
environment. Security services are provided for both US and foreign dignitaries
in a variety of locations around the world.
Summary
Assignment to a protective service program is a one-year contract.
DynCorp offers a highly competitive pay and benefits package to include, health
and life coverage, travel and lodging. Specific details will be provided upon
application. Benefits are not provided for dependents. DynCorp provides all
uniform and equipment needs. Cost of living for the year varies depending upon
location of assignment.
General Payroll Information
* Salary will be paid either every Two
(2) or Four (4) weeks based on Program location and
contract provisions.

Payment of all Taxes is an individual responsibility.
Income Tax Exemption for Expatriates working out of the U.S. will be based on
Section 911, U.S. Tax Code.

Salary is based on a six (6) day work week, 12 hours per
day.

All insurance coverage is provided in the Foreign Service
agreement.

DynCorp provides required uniforms and equipment.
Qualifications
-
US Citizen or Foreign National
-
Applicant must have a minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience in
personal protective security employment in one of the following organizations:
-
US Secret Service
-
DOS Diplomatic Security
-
US military (MP, CID)
-
Civilian law enforcement (local/state SWAT assignments)
-
Executive protection
-
For Foreign Nationals, experience in the following assignments will be used for
consideration:

Military or foreign law enforcement organizations equivalent to the: U.S.
Military special forces or special operations units, U.S. Secret Service,
Department of State Diplomatic Security Service, Infantry Units, USMC or
commercial personal protection services.

DOS reserves the right to determine whether or not the candidate�s experience
is applicable

For qualification to serve in
certain assignments in Central Asia, Special Operations Force experience is
required (Delta, SEAL, Green Beret�s, Rangers, Force Recon, AST, Para-Jumpers)

Military experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate confidently and be understood in English

driver's license

Unblemished background with
ability to obtain government security clearance

Foreign Nationals must be able to successfully pass a �High-Risk Public Trust�
check by the US Embassy�s Regional Security Officer in their home country

Excellent medical and dental

Able to successfully complete a
high-risk training/evaluation course

Must submit to psychological
evaluation and pre-employment drug screen.
