Job Summary: The Regional Commander is the ranking member of the IPAs the DOS supplies to CPATT in his or her geographic area of responsibility. The Regional Commander is appointed by the contractor, subject to approval of DOS, and reports to the Contingent Commander. The successful candidates will be residing at Camp Klecker unless directed otherwise by the Contingent Commander. The desired candidate will experience a 90 Day Probationary Period.
Principal Accountabilities: Regional Commanders must effectively liaise with CPATT who has administrative control over all IPAs, and MNC-I who exercises tactical control over IPAs assigned to police transition teams. Regional Commanders are charged with ensuring that all IPAs within their region abide by the rules, regulations, and directives set forth by the Contingent Commander, DOS, CPATT, MNC-I, and the contractor.
:Experience •8 years experience as a supervisor in a law enforcement organization of more than 50 sworn officers •5 years experience in patrol, investigations, and administration functions •Desired experience as a supervisor in international policing •Armed position-will require a weapons certification •Knowledge of current state of the art police practices
Education: •Bachelor’s degree in a law enforcement related field from a regionally accredited educational institution •Desired Master’s degree in a law enforcement related field from a regionally accredited educational institution
