| Position Description |
Principal Responsibilities of the Classification:
Coordinates personnel training assignments as they pertain to assigned programs:
A. Coordinates, develops and presents firearms and security related training programs for in-house employees and/or contract sites. B. Coordinates with the Training Coordinator the required contract training responsibilities C. Internally develops or works with outside vendors to schedule training programs and to determine training support materials for the available training courses. D. Formulates technical training policies, programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs. E. Writes training program, including outline, text, handouts, and tests F. Lectures class on safety, certification/qualifications and compliance to inspection criteria. G. Ensures compliance with company and contract policies, procedures and other practices set for by upper management and contract directives to maintain company and contract compliance standards. H. Provides guidance and leadership to the firearms instructors utilizing strong technical and training skills. I. In the absence of the Training Manager supervise specific training programs and job related duties. J. Conducts Security Assessment and evaluation of RTCs, FOBs, and PRTs where DI employees work and or reside in support of the program. Deploys to sites by vehicle, fix wing, or rotary wing air craft to multiple locations within Afghanistan to conduct site security assessments. K. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
Candidate will possess a minimum of Five (5) years of military or civilian law enforcement (Special Operations) experience in a training environment
Experience Required:
Five (5) years experience with various weapons systems to include: M4, M9, Glock, M240, M249, AK47 and or CZ/SA 58. Prefer two (2) years of in specialized technical training experience. Two (2) years in a position of leadership in a training environment with specialized technical skills. Two (2) years of force protection/PSD experience in a Law Enforcement (Special Operations) or Military position. Certified Trainer

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
A. Be able to present and instruct in front of a group of student/peers B. Excellent oral and written communications skills and interpersonal skills C. Able to travel D. Ability to provide special certification/qualifications if required by contract E. Ability to communicate fluently in the English language F. May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure. G. Knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) H. Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related federal and state legislation and regulations.
