Subject Matter Expert, Supply - GMC - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary:
Subject Matter Expert for developing optimal spare stock levels and reorder points to support automated stock replenishment. Implement comprehensive A-B-C stockage plan and bar code program for 155,000 active lines of inventory. Develop, coordinate, execute, perform quality analysis, and provide periodic management updates on activities through program completion. Serve as back-up field administrator for the UAE Military Inventory, Work Order Reconciliation and MAXIMO Training Program. Perform other supply chain, material management, warehousing, and transportation related management functions as required by senior management that may contribute to major duties and responsibilities.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Analyze demand history and apply MAXIMO systems knowledge and appropriate order quantity logic to establish optimal stock levels according to best business practices to drive stock replenishment. Determine, coordinate, and manage appropriate min/max storage levels, reorder points, ASLs, and war reserve stock quantities. Complete all tasks within 120 days of assignment.
  • Develop and coordinate the A-B-C stock plan for 20 warehouses / 260,000 lines of inventory. Execute the A-B-C stock plan. Complete the re-warehousing of 155,000 lines of inventory according to the plan, within the 12 month assignment.
  • Implement bar coding technology to support stock receipt, put-away, stock selection, and inventory control. Introduce scanners and appropriate bar code labels and their applications to the workforce. Complete system fielding and workforce training within six months of hardware and software purchase.
  • Provide direct support to the Supply Chain and Warehousing Managers in managing the UAE military unit Inventory, Work Order Reconciliation and MAXIMO training program. Support efforts to complete the program within 9 months.
  • Responsible and accountable for periodic program reporting to upper management. Establish appropriate metrics to gauge performance.
  • Perform other supply chain duties as assigned by senior management.

    Management Responsibilties:
    Provide Supply Management knowledge to new systems approach of Warehousing

    Physical Requirements:
    Air-conditioned offices and warehouses.

    Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a supply chain curriculum.
  • 15 years experience working in a computer systems environment involving supply chain and maintenance software applications.
  • 5 years ERP and/or WMS hands-on usage or implementation experience.
  • 5 years experience in maintenance management, including a thorough knowledge of work order business processes.
  • 5 years experience in inventory control management and process improvement.
  • Procurement experience is a plus.
