REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager LOCATION: Abu Dhabi, UAE

POSITION DESCRIPTION
To oversee all maintenance actions within the Weapons/Gun Workshop, with particular emphasis on both heavy and light tracked turret systems, and a variety of crew served, vehicle mounted and individual weapon systems. Responsible to develop, implement, amend and enforce all maintenance directives within the Weapons/Gun Workshop. Ensure all maintenance repair actions are accomplished in accordance with both the manufacturer’s technical manual and the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Responsible to develop and implement quality directives as part of the ISO 9001:2008 program.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the overall supervision of all employees assigned to the Weapons/Gun Workshop.
• Responsible to oversee all maintenance actions within the Weapons/Gun Workshop with particular emphasis on both heavy and light tracked turret systems, and a variety of crew served, vehicle mounted and individual weapon systems.
• Responsible to develop, implement, amend and enforce all maintenance directives within the Weapons/Gun Workshop.
• Ensure all maintenance repair actions are accomplished in accordance with both the manufacturer’s technical manual and the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Ensure safety practices, housekeeping and environmental are maintained to the highest standard.
• Ensure that all Sets, Kits and Outfits are maintained in a serviceable condition, accounted for and safeguarded.
• Supervise the storage and disposal of all hazardous materials in accordance with applicable directives and host country environmental regulations.
• Responsible to ensure that repair parts research is performed and that only required repair parts are requisitioned in the appropriate quantities.
• Ensure that final inspections are performed on all completed maintenance to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer.
• Ensure all residual serviceable repair parts are returned to the applicable Stores facility.
• Ensure all unserviceable “direct exchange” repair parts are returned to the applicable Stores facility.
• Inspect the quality of work preformed by subcontractors and report all deficiencies.
• Monitor job performance and ensure the staff is trained to accomplish all required tasks.
• Recommend and/or provide additional training when it is determined necessary.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Automotive Technology is preferred
• Seven to Ten years previous experience supervising and performing heavy and light tracked turret systems maintenance.
• Previous military exposure is preferred.
• Evidence of formal automotive training is required.
• Crew served, vehicle mounted, or individual weapons systems experience or training is highly desirable.
• Fluent English communication skills which include oral, reading and writing.
• Familiar with the use of a personal computer and have a working knowledge of MS Windows software packages.
• Experience with MAXIMO is advantageous.
• Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE Driver’s license.
