Position Description
Summary of the Classification:

Responsible for assisting the DPM-Security Services with OCONUS training course material on assigned DynCorp International (DI) program(s) under the direction of the DPM- Security Services. Provide individual weapon(s) qualification/familiarization training for all employees designated to carry firearms, in accordance with U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security weapons qualification standards, i.e. M-9 Pistol, M-4 Rifle. Individual firearms qualifications are documented on DA forms 88-R and 3595-R and entered in to the Sonic Recruit database. Unsatisfactory employee qualification results will be reported to the COR/I-COR. DI personnel designated to carry firearms must receive refresher training and re-qualify with their assigned weapons at least semi-annually. The Trainers/Instructors will comply with MNF-I procedures and coordination requirements when using or operating a live fire range in Iraq. Trainers/Instructors provide a copy of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, August 12, 1949 to all employees authorized to carry weapons and a signed acknowledgement will be placed and maintained in the Sonic Recruit database personnel file.

Principal Responsibilities of the Classification:

Performs personnel protective service detail assignments as they pertain to assigned programs:
A. Develops and presents complex training programs for in-house employees and/or contract sites.
B. Coordinates with management required contract training responsibilities
C. Internally develops or works with outside vendors to schedule training programs and to determine training support materials for the available training courses.
D. Formulates technical training policies, programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems and changes in procedures or services.
E. Writes training program, including outline, text, handouts, and tests
F. Lectures class on safety, certification and compliance to inspection criteria.
G. Ensures compliance with company and contract policies, procedures and other practices set for by upper management and contract directives to maintain company and contract compliance standards.
H. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced trainers utilizing strong technical and training skills.
I. Audits periodically in area of technical expertise to validate compliance of the required certification.
J. Loads and verifies correct operation of software packages, such as operating systems, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
K. Installs microcomputer hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives, attached to company’s network.
L. Configures software and hardware for assigned department.
M. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Required:

Candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in associated discipline or Two (2) years of military or civilian law enforcement experience in training environment may be substituted for each year of the four (4) year degree.

Experience Required:
Trainers shall be U.S. citizens and have a minimum of three (3) years instructional experience in high threat protective security operations and have a minimum of two (2) years work experience in high threat protective security operations.
