LG4 Welder – Job Code: 310336 Job Summary: Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, mobile homes, motors and generators, according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. Principal Accountabilities: Knowledge & Skills: Must be able to conduct a welding sample in lieu of routine Promotion Board to qualify for a posted position. Must be able to present current Welding Certification. Knowledge of production planning, scheduling and layout. MIG and STICK Welding Knowledge. Must be proficient in GMAW and SMAW structural steel and aluminum welding. Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) Certification. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Certification. Aluminum STICK Welding Knowledge. Aluminum MIG Welding Knowledge. Brazing of Soldering. Must be able to meet deployment status requirements. Physical Requirements: Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. Experience: Typically, at least three (3) years in Journeyman Metal Trades.
