ACAS Property Book Specialist (FN) – Job Code: 301420

Job Summary:

Plans, directs, controls, coordinates and evaluates logistics management functions for DynCorp CIVPOL Programs.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Performs many of the following responsibilities as they pertain to assigned programs:
  • Must have a basic understanding of logistics and support doctrine, procedures, and capabilities.
  • Identifies the role of inventory and how it is physically controlled.
  • Controlling damaged goods and finding lost shipment.
  • Managing Customer Returns.
  • Shipping and receiving documents and their functions.
  • Shipping and receiving documents and their functions.
  • Provides supervision and direction over supply operations at a facility requiring support for medium to large material requirements.
  • Manages property inventories and maintains receiving, issue and disposal records for equipage and facility support products.
  • Will assist the region Property Book Officer with responsibility for processing issue and turn-in requests, assigning equipment authorizations, and posting issues, turn-ins, and transfers to property book records.
  • Processes and distributes new equipment receipts.
  • Ensures proper identification of equipment by obtaining manufacturer data and assigning Bar Code Numbers.
  • Prepares necessary documentation to issue equipment to Hand Receipt Holder(s).
  • Researches FEDLOG and manufacturer catalogs to build property catalog records.
  • Ensures Hand Receipt Holders provide complete and accurate documentation for all issues, turn-ins, and transfers of region property.
  • Prepares Administrative Adjustment Reports to correct property records when minor property book discrepancies are reported by Hand Receipt Holders.
  • Will provide technical guidance to Hand Receipt Holders as necessary.

    Physical Requirements:

    Primary duty station(s) are located in Afghanistan. Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh, and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions.

    Experience:

    Military/government work experience minimum of 5 years.

    Education:

    High school or two years college experience. Non-commissioned officer or warrant officer or civilian logistical course graduate.
