| Position Description |
Purpose of the Classification:
Develops, implements and manages the corporate environmental and safety programs for DynCorp International. Ensures that environmental and safety programs conform to established standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, thereby promoting long lasting high customer satisfaction with the services of DynCorp International.
Principal Responsibilities of the Classification:
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
A. Develops and implements environmental and safety procedures and policies. B. Establishes and tracks progress toward meeting the goals and objectives of the environmental and safety programs. C. Provides expertise and guidance relating on compliance with governmental regulations, customer specifications and internal policies across DI. D. Conducts audits and implements corrective actions as required. E. Ensures environmental and safety standards comply with current applicable statutory requirements. F. May serve as liaison between Strategic Business Units, or various governmental agencies inside or outside the United States. G. Ensures that operational personnel comply with established and applicable environmental and safety rules and governmental regulations. H. Develops, collects and reports performance metrics as needed to inform senior management. I. Ensures maintenance of safety/accident regulatory documentation. J. Maintains the online injury and illness reporting system. K. Recommends program improvements and enhancements. L. Provides leadership and knowledge to staff members and teams as necessary. M. Develops staff and determines the best method of performance enhancement. N. Performs other duties as assigned.

| Required Skills |
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in related field can be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
Experience Required:
Ten (10) years experience in any combination of the following areas: Environmental Management and Compliance, Safety Management and Compliance, Industrial Hygiene.
Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
A. Comprehensive knowledge of industrial safety programs and OSHA regulations. B. Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills. C. Industrial hygiene experience and OSHA training experience preferred. D. Experience in implementation of ISO 9001 and other quality initiatives preferred.
