| Job Summary 1. Identifies necessary job duties, qualifications and skills in support of major aviation and technical services contracts 2. Reviews and recommends qualified candidates for open positions Principal Accountabilities JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develops effective working relationships with placement agencies, colleges, technical schools and job fairs 2. Evaluates qualified candidates through the internet resumes from job boards and through advanced resume search techniques 3. Maintain the integrity of an internal database with current and valid candidate information and recordkeeping 4. Post (and maintain) print and online job postings 5. Responsible for the integrity of the Personal History File (PHF) to be given to the operating department within assigned department 6. Provide detailed input for strategy design and process improvement 7. Report sourcing results/effectiveness � process improvement and lessons learned. 8. Follows procedures in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) manual 9. Create, record, and maintain department databases as it pertains to the Recruiting and New Hire processes 10. Provide weekly status reports to the Recruiting Supervisor and HR Management as requested 11. Assist with establishing Job Descriptions for new positions by coordinating with Hiring and Functional Managers 12. All duties are performed on a daily basis (M-F) and may require occasional support after hours and on weekends when advised 13. Responsible for pre-employment background investigations and Hazardous Mission Assessments for area of responsibility 14. Lead team members for department to provide work direction and completion of assignments. 15. Required to attend job and career fairs 16. Will act in place of Recruiting Supervisor when out on leave 17. Assist with creating and maintaining Desktop Procedures 18. Guides, trains and develops less experienced staff in area of expertise. OTHER or ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Other special assignments and functional roles may be assigned (as needed). Management Responsibility None Reports to Senior Recruiting Manager, Recruiting Supervisor Internal/External Contacts DOS representatives, DI Management Knowledge & Skills 1. Professional speaking ability directly to a person via the telephone or internet 2. Internet researching experience- (utilizing major online job boards) 3. Experience writing & posting on Internet job boards 4. Experience and knowledge of process/methodology of requisition lifecycle 5. Recruiting industry knowledge - preferably in the field�s aviation and defense ability to apply resume pattern recognition 6. Understanding of recruiting field, technical requirements and ability to match candidates 7. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word) 8. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little supervision and work well under pressure 9. Knowledge of employment laws 10. Proven experience in prioritization and multitasking 11. Ability to generate original ideas and sourcing strategies 12. Ability to communicate professionally via telephone and internet 13. Professional Recruitment Training through an accredited training institute (AIRS) is preferred. 14. Professional in Human Resources PHR or Senior Professional in Human Resources SPHR Certificate is preferred. 15. The ability to attain and retain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) through Department of State Background Investigation is a condition of continued employment. Experience & Education Typically requires six (6) years experience working in recruiting environment that is specialized to the department�s area. Bachelor�s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in recruiting field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years college. Physical Requirements/Working Environment 1. Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to three (3) hours per day and sit for up to five (5) hours per day. 2. Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs. 3. On occasion must be able to lift 30 pounds. 4. Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders. 5. Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print. 6. Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear. 7. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depths. Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions. Travel Travel to and between CONUS locations as requested is required. |
