Position Description
The Site coordinator is responsible for overall operational support for requirements of Regional Training Center. Site Coordinator support mission of the police officers residing in RTC. Each RTC is composed of police officers responsible for training of Afghanistan National Police students, Each site is composed of police officers, security personnel, logistics personnel and a host nation work force (Interpreters, janitors, plumbers, electricians etc.) Each site has a logistics coordinator in direct support of the Site Coordinator. Requirements of the Site Coordinator. As the site coordinator responsibilities range from billeting, communications, vehicle and facility maintenance, and acting as the mayor for requirements to support mission and life support functions. Site Coordinators are supported by the Deputy Program Manager in Kabul and his staff of HR, finance, logistics, contracting etc. Duties are varied and may include coordinating for pay issues, finance of operations, coordinating with subcontractors, and a various times minor construction projects on RTCs. In addition to CIVPOL mission Justice Program, and in the future correction program may have individuals residing on RTC requiring base operational support. RTCs are located in seven locations, with the first Forward Operating Base (Islam Qualah) under construction. A FOB is a smaller RTC with the responsibility of conducting boarder patrol mentoring. Site coordinator positions are also used in Kabul for living locations (Normandy, Pink House) and the Central Training Center. Assignment will be determined by the DPM based upon current requirements and the ability of the person assigned this function.
Required Skills
8-10 yrs experience in an Operations background in the military (Logistics, Human Resources, Transportation and Construction)
