| Position Description |
Principle Accountabilities • Implements and monitors that industrial security procedures as affected in accordance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DI’s policies and procedures and government directives. • Manages the procedures to obtain new industrial security clearances, National Agency checks and background checks or continuation of current clearances for employees in accordance with the NISPOM and contractual requirements. • Obtains industrial security related records for new Strategic Business Area’s contacts.
Responsibilities May Include • Interfaces with appropriate government agencies relating to industrial security. • Contact point for the company’s security. • Reviews and investigates non-compliance security issues. • Maintains a safe and secure working environment for the company and joint ventures. • Investigates and eliminates unsafe or unethical security practices. • Design and implement policies and strategies for security, including but not limited to, internal investigations, contract guard force management and operational security (OPSEC) • Coordinate an ongoing review of existing security programs and initiate the development of new programs, as needed within all SBUs • Reviews RFP; provide guidance and inputs to assist in preparing proposal for classified contracts • Prepares and submit sponsorship documentation to the Defense Security Services for facility clearances and joint ventures. • Maintains close communication with management and respond to requests for support • Provide physical audits of site(s) based on developed standards, and provide recommendations based on findings; provide project management written documentation upon completion of reviews • Provide consulting support and make recommendations to site management regarding appropriate timely and necessary improvements or enhancements • Provides advice and counsel to sister companies on security matters • Deploys to site to manage security phase-in portion of newly awarded contracts; meets with security counterparts and address security concerns in implementing contractual requirements • Serves as the Facility Security Officer for strategic business units as required
Knowledge & Skills • Demonstrates proficiency with industrial security laws. • Working knowledge of electronic questionnaire investigation for processing (e-Qip) and Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS). • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in utilizing the internet. • Knowledge of various computer software (ex: PeopleSoft, Word, Excel, etc.).
Management Responsibility • Manages daily activities of the security staff to ensure effective efficiencies in compliance with corporate, company, government, contractual and legal requirements. • Manages the Communication Security (COMSEC) and Automated Information System (AIS) programs for the company.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment • Works in normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.

| Required Skills |
Experience • Typically eight (8) years experience working in security environment. Prefer at least three (3) in a supervisory role. • Education • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in Security field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
