Position Description
Maintains certification in the shipment of hazardous goods and certify all outbound hazardous materials shipments. Responsible for the storage of inbound and outbound cargo and shipment and receipt, of general and hazardous materials. Coordinates with freight forwarder to expedite customs clearance. Assists in preparation and performs inspection of cargo destined to be shipped via military aircraft. Assists military member in receiving and shipping household goods. Arranges for in-country travel and lodging for DynCorp and US military members. Manages vehicle dispatch section. Ensures adequate vehicles and drivers are available to accomplish mission.
Required Skills
Minimum of five years experience in traffic management (TMO). Work experience in freight acceptance, preparation, processing, inspection, documentation and handling procedures is required. Must have completed training to prepare, certify and/or inspect Hazardous Materials for Air Transportation IAW AFJMAN 24-204 and 49 CFR, currency not required. Qualified to operating MHE. Experienced in palletizing cargo on single, multiple/ married 463L pallets using side and top nets, straps, chains and devices for restraint. Must be computer literate and be able to operate software programs relating to Freight Traffic operations and office administration.
