Position Description
Purpose of the Position: Provides customer service support for personal computers, radio communications equipment and office applications for DynCorp Iraq, CIVPOL Mission. Principal Responsibilities of the Position: •Categorize and prioritize reported failure incidents or service requests by updating Track-It which assigns a number to each record (“ticket”). (Training will be given.) •Maintain and run reports in Track-It for monthly status reports. (Training will be given.) •Assist in the installation and/or configuration of new computer equipment for ICT. •Administer network support such as logins, passwords changes, drive mapping, and other software utilities. •Install desktop or network printers to local personal computers. •Answer telephone calls and troubleshoot computer and/or software problems. •Software support for installation of software. •Receive delivery of incoming computer hardware or radio equipment. •Verify delivered computer hardware against ordered records. •Update purchase database with receivers and place tags on delivered computer hardware. •Installation of radio sets in offices and vehicles. (Training will be given.) •Installation & configuration of HF, VHF & UHF radio set software. (Training will be given.) •Troubleshooting radio communications & equipment. (Training will be given.) •Installation & configuration of VSAT systems. (Training will be given.) •Installation & alignment of satellite dishes. (Training will be given.) •Installation of Thuraya Base Stations in Offices. (Training will be given.) •Install & configure repeater station software. (Training will be given.) •Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Education Required: Will prefer industry qualifications like A+, N+ or Microsoft Certifications like: MCSE etc. Experience Required: Minimum Three (3) years industry IT experience. Special Knowledge/Skills Required: •Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (i.e. Windows XP). •Demonstrate knowledge of personal computer hardware configuration and setup. •Demonstrate knowledge of software installation (e.g. MS Office & proprietary S/W). •Preferred, but not required - knowledge of radio equipment, in particular Motorola, Codan and Thuraya systems. •Excellent English (verbal and writing) skills. •Good customer skills.
