Regional Managing Director of Business Development

Summary of the Classification:
Strategic management and leadership position responsible for marketing, administration, strategic planning, budgets and proposal development for DynCorp International, LLC.

Principal Responsibilities of the Classification:
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
A. Direct the coordination with DI for business development strategy, program identification, bid and proposal estimates and strategic plan development.
B. Develop and maintain key business relationships in domestic and/or international government markets.
C. Execute Business Development marketing strategies and proposes long range business plans for the success of DI.
D. Develop and execute development preparation, submission of the department budget to determine DI goals.
E. Directs daily activities of the staff members to ensure effective efficiencies incompliance with corporate, DI, contractual and legal requirements.
F. Directs the proposal development to include capture/proposal management, education, training and policy.
G. Develop and/or design business development reports and briefings.
H. Develop and sustain customer interface for new or re-compete programs.
I. Act as liaison with government agencies and offices.
J. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years in business or related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.


Required Skills
Experience Required:
Fifteen (15) years in business development environment. Prefer at least seven (7) years in extensive proposal development.

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
A. Complete understanding of proposal development that includes contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts in achievements especially in acquiring new and follow-on business.
B. Excellent communication and people skills.
C. Knowledgeable of Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Government structure and agency acquisition procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
D. Computer skills desirable.
E. Over seas experience required
