Job Summary:
Lead a two person security vulnerability assessment (VA) team to assess force protection, physical security, and operations security (OPSEC) at each Region and Site Office location in Iraq. Determine the U.S. Military host security Point(s) of Contact and security support provided the site. If contract security is provided by the incumbent for a specified location, assess the effectiveness and need for the support. Integrate an Information Technology (IT) specialist within the team who will travel with the team and conduct a simultaneous IT assessment for each site. A written VA report will be generated for each site to be provided to the ISMO Security/FP/Plans Manager, Region Manager and GLS Director of Security.
Principal Responsibilities:
A. Serves as VA Team leader for site assessments B. Be the author and certification agent for each Site VA Report C. Make contact with support base/location security force and establish initial GLS lines of communication and reporting requirements to be incorporated in each Site VA Report D. Ensure team travels using Government approved means utilizing proper force protection procedures
Knowledge and Skills: A. Experience in operation in Iraq B. Experience in conducting physical security, force protection, and OPSEC vulnerability assessments C. Excellent verbal/writing communication, organizational, interpersonal and effective leadership skills D. Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance E. Knowledgeable with and effective with various computer software applications (MS Office, Visio, Adobe, etc) F. Proficient in utilizing the internet
Travels to and operates within Kuwait, Iraq and other locations as required. Subject to conditions where a degree of personal hardship and danger exist and conditions remote and uncomfortable.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in security or related fields highly desired

Fifteen (15) years military or security related experience with at least one (1) year in Iraq or similar environments
