Summary of the Classification:
Establishes operational databases, software configuration control and system interfaces for the routine to moderate complex Enterprise Business Software Systems (EBSS) assigned for DynCorp International LLC (DI).
Principal Responsibilities of the Classification:
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
A. Determines routine resource requirements, development plans of action with goals and objectives and justification for acquisition of other resources as required for EBSS. B. Interviews business process stakeholders and documents software requirements to determine for the assigned project. C. Works with software developers to design and document EBSS. D. Monitors and maintains assigned departmental EBSS to ensure compliance to standards set forth by DynCorp management, DI Financial Management, federal, state and local authorities. E. Provides input in the decision of scope and vision of routine to moderate complex EBSS for development and operational systems stability and functionality. F. Prepares routine to moderate complex diagrams and timely communication of relevant implementation information with units of DI. G. Confers with DI departments affected by the routine to moderate complex EBSS to minimize the disruption to ongoing operations and maximize the benefit derived from the new system. H. Works with help desk personnel and developers to analyze and troubleshoot system related issues. I. Determines software implementation schedules by coordinating training requirements, tracking progress against the schedule and advising management at the potential variances from schedule. This includes evaluation of the adequacy of internal resources committed to the effort. J. Facilitates instruction on assigned EBSS, reviews system usage and makes recommendation for correction action. K. Reviews EBSS capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system. L. Recommends or writes the Process Procedures and Work Instructions consistent with company policies and software parameters. M. Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow. N. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in systems analysis or related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
