Summary of the Classification:
Designs, selects, implements, and maintains complex automated systems for DynCorp International, LLC business units. Principal Responsibilities of the Classification:
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
A. Devises solutions for solving complex customer problems using DI computer systems and equipment. B. Consults with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements. C. Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and time tables for developing and implementing programs. D. Converts designs and specifications into Statements of Work (SOW) and detailed design specifications. E. Tests computer systems’ hardware and/or software prior to implementation. F. Oversees the quality control procedures for implementation of hardware and/or software. G. Responsible for existing automated systems to include systems modifications, general troubleshooting, and communication with end-users. H. Writes and maintains reports to update management of relevant information. Status first line management on a regular basis. I. Interfaces with and supports client in the operation of the automated systems. J. Guides, trains and develops less experienced staff in area of expertise. K. Consults with client to prototype, refines, tests and debugs programs to meet contractual needs. L. Monitors performance of programs and/or automated systems after implementation. M. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and other practices set forth by upper management directives to maintain DI’s standards. N. Provides guidance and information on network policies, procedures and standards to DI. O. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.

| Required Skills |
Experience Required:
Five (5) years experience in working with the following areas: developing and/or implementing large technically complex systems; revising and controlling technical documentation. Prefer at least one (1) year of programming in client/server and web based applications.
Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
A. Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (i.e. Windows XP, Windows Server 2003). B. Knowledge of web application development and relational databases. C. Strong analytical capabilities in System Development Life Cycle and Project Management concepts. D. Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills. E. Current on the latest technological advances within industry. F. Able to travel. G. Training experiences a plus.
