LG4 FN Power Generation Foreman � Job Code: 310064 Job Summary: Reports directly to the Power Generator Supervisor. As a Power Generator Foreman he supervises power generation crews responsible for the operations and maintenance of power generator single or multiple sets. Coordinates the repair and replacement of components, generators, and sub-assemblies. Coordinates with the Electrical Shop and HSE in connecting power generation to distribution panels/systems. Principal Accountabilities: Knowledge & Skills: Requires a basic understanding of a variety of engines. Must have the ability to perform maintenance on coolant, oil and fuel systems. Requires basic understanding of power generation, electrical safety and engine maintenance. Have the ability to perform an extended load test. Utilize electrical math formulas to meet the specifications of a proper load test. Understand voltage, amperage, frequency and poser factors. Understand the basic principles of electricity. Physical Requirements: Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. Experience: Typically, four (4) to five (5) years experience with a minimum of 18 months at the Foreman level. Preferred graduate of an accredited diesel school. Hands-on experience in repairing and replacing diesel/mechanical engines and generators may be substituted for school. US Military MOS training in Power Generation/Diesel/Electrical is desired. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
