LG4 Security Guard

Job Summary:

Perform as unarmed Security Officer. Duties, responsible for the physical security posture of facilities and structures at DynCorp Facilities within the LOGCAP IV Area of Operations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a deterrent and secures personnel and assets by standing guard or conducting patrols within secure premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of the rules.
  • Controls access to Living Support Areas (LSAs) by performing identification checks and registering visitors, vendors, and deliveries entering and exiting a given area of responsibility.
  • Perform physical security inspections and operations security (OPSEC) checks as part of the regular duty.
  • On order, Security Supervisor may be required to participate in supervised searches for prohibited items.
  • Support and facilitate the security department local force protection posture and program.
  • Serves as an escort officer for personnel and materials movements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must speak and write in English (conversationalist).
  • Must have knowledge of basic force protection principles and procedures.
  • Must be familiar with formal inquiries regarding fraud & loss or any criminal act or violations.
  • Must be familiar with the interview process.
  • Must be able to provide timely and accurate reports related to security incidents.
  • Must have experience monitoring shift activities and complete accurate logs
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts in the event of unexpected absences.

    Physical Requirements:

    Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

    Experience:

  • Must have at least two (2) years experience as a Security Officer.
  • Four (4) to five (5) years military MP or Infantry experience is preferable.

    Education:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent
