| Job Summary The Company that DynCorp International is supporting has been awarded a Governance Strengthening Program in Iraq. DI is looking for a highly qualified Expatriate/Third Country National (TCN) Protective Security Details (PSD) Team Leader who will provide tactical risk assessments and mitigation planning and implementation measures, including route and venue planning, providing advice and guidance. These projects vary in size, technical area, geographical scope, and period of performance. Although primarily based in Baghdad and Hilla, project work will also be conducted in cities such as Erbil and Bosra. In addition to ongoing projects, the Company often sends new business and other overhead travelers into Baghdad with potential travel to other provinces. The program establishes and operates a fully staffed operation center responsible for ensuring security of the Company�s personnel and assets. Principle Accountabilities � Responsible for managing the static guard shift leaders at various sites � Ultimately responsible for all guard administration and accounting for all shift equipment, weapons, and ammunition � Provide pragmatic risk assessments, supporting the development of tactical plans for the conduct of secured movement, as well as venue risk management requirements � Responsible for ensuring equipment serviceability � Ensure shift personnel are briefed on their duties, relief time and SOPs � Ensure access control points are operating properly and that all unauthorized personnel/vehicles are prevented from entering the compound � Oversee random inspections during guard force shifts and ensures all guards understand the Rules Of Engagement (ROE) � Manage PSD team members within a team, ensuring the team executes its duties professionally, reporting the team�s status to the operations center, or company offices, as directed Reporting Relationships Title of Direct Report(s): PSD team members Title of Supervisor: Program Manager Internal/External Contacts � Internal: Company Security Team; Company Program Directors � External: United Nations security services; host government counterparts Knowledge & Skills � Ability to oversee all guard training functions and quality assurance, as well as dealing with disciplinary and shift matters for all related sites � Equipped with the knowledge and skills to serve as the second in command when the program manager is unavailable � Complete certified training in weapons, communications, counterterrorism operations, and threat familiarization, inclusive of fire prevention, mitigation and containment � Demonstrated ability to inspect all shift personnel � Good communication and interpersonal skills � Combat Life Support or equivalent medical qualification � Good interpersonal management skills � Shall possess advanced driving skills, both for armored and up-armored vehicles, including manual and automatic vehicles, being trained in evasive and defensive driving techniques Education Experience & Education � Minimum of ten (10) years Military/Police service with rank of Officer/Senior NCO � Minimum of five (5) years in Iraq/Afghanistan as PSD Team Leader � Substantial urban and rural operational experience � Experienced in conducting security assessments, advanced planning, and coordination for secured movements and site security operations Physical Requirements/Working Environment � Physically and medically fit to operate in a hostile environment � Living and work conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable � Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions � Should be capable of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions |
