Job Summary:

Process regular OCIE issue to authorized individuals, units or groups IAW DA PAM 710-2 and AR 735-5 utilizing the Installations Support Module (ISM).

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Be proficient in operating systems with knowledge of documentation required for accountability of OCIE.
  • Processing of items shall be IAW menu codes established by the accountable officer or designated representative.
  • Regular issues should include the full standard OCIE issue.
  • Process special issues IAW DA PAM 710-2-1 and additional issues special issues when required.
  • Ensure personnel processing through the CIF are properly sized for issue of size type equipment.
  • Prepare appropriate documents for issue or turn-in for OCIE for individual soldiers and enter into computer systems for accountability.
  • Inspect OCIE equipment being turned in for cleanness and serviceability from individual solider ensuring accountability of equipment.
  • Process partial turn-ins daily and ensure all items turned in meet the standards of cleanness and serviceability for issue back to soldiers.
  • Accept flight gear for turn-in and annotate on soldiers OCIE clothing record.
  • Ensure flight gear has been properly tagged by (ALSE) technician as serviceable, repairable or unserviceable.
  • Process lateral transfers to other units or installations Army wide.
  • Conduct inventory and record quantities of equipment during physical inventory of the Central Issue Facility.
  • Maintain security and safety awareness during all parts of operation to include operating kitting machine for pre-packages of equipment for issue.
  • Be knowledge in computer and scanning devices for both issue and turn-in sections.
  • Operate forklifts and maintain locations for items stored in multiple warehouses assigned to Central Issue Facility.
  • Conduct inventories IAW AR710-2.
  • Prepare Hand-Receipts, lateral transfers, and conduct location surveys.
  • Possess the background necessary to be granted access to government computers.
  • Clean surrounding areas and ensure that the section is kept safe at all times.
  • Position may be required to work in other areas.


    Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving duties as they pertain to material storage and distribution activities, complete the NAC background check and obtain computer access.
  • Ability to perform work of the craft in a rapid and efficient manner under extreme conditions.
  • Ability to perform work safely under hazardous conditions.

    Requirements:

  • Ability to qualify and obtain a state driver�s license
  • Candidate filling position will require a National Agency Background Check. Must be able eligible to receive a clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a Forklift Operator�s license.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a warehouse.
  • Safety shoes and\or gear will be worn.
  • May require lifting items weighting 10-45 lbs.

    Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a related field is required.

    Education:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
